In the end we choose the ones that really stick in our minds, the projects that continue to inspire both us and our readers. Our Purl Bee’s Best of 2014 gallery is both a walk down memory lane and a map for the year ahead. It is especially rich with color and the simple beauty of classic design. I am about 80% finished with the pinstripe scarf and it is turning out beautifully. Love at first sight and the pattern has not disappointed.

I loved all of your quilting projects and lap quilts. The vertically-striped quilt, the diagonally striped quilt, especially. Pastel and sophisticated.
The stuffed fat letters were also a hit with my grandchildren. I made the alphabet and then several name banners for other friend’s children. These took a fair time to make, but looked really cute. The duck placemats were also beautiful.
The Purl Bee is a treasure of handmade items that make other crafty sites and projects look pretty lame.
I especially like almost anything made by Molly.
And where or where does your staff find these amazing projects.
I love gradient cowl!!
I loved the Tulip tank top
I love the Stitch Block Cowl ! Genius !
My best if 2014 would have to be stitch block cowl. I made one in cream/grey/black combination and turned out fabulous.
Pin stripe scarf looks interesting. It will be a good one to do while relaxing since it is all garter stitches. Thanks for making these wonderful patterns public.
The Stitch Cowl, lovely and simply elegant. Wait 2015 and knit on. From Venice, Italy.
Stitch Block Cowl – it´s my favourite.
I made the loopy bath mat (from July) as a Christmas gift for my son and his family. They were very impressed. (Also included washcloths made from the standard knitted dishcloth pattern using the same yarn as the bathmat. )
Going to start 2015 off with some City Gym Shorts!
Tulip Tank top! On my wish list for 2015. Thank you for all your hard work and inspiration in 2014!
I really love City Cape, it’s my new year project.
I love the stitch block cowl and made two of them. I also made the seed stitch mittens to match! Love them both!
I love the diagonal striped quilt! I am using my own indigo dyed strips and I am almost done. I am so excited to use it! Thank you for your creative ideas, beautiful photos and thorough instructions. Your site never fails to inspire!
