With its untouched beauty and natural charm, Field Linen is everything we love about linen! Made in Japan, this highest quality 100% French linen comes from a sustainable growing process that has been perfected over generations. Linen fiber is also hypoallergenic, long-lasting, and easy to care for, with a wonderful way of softening with wash and wear. A fingering or even sport weight, Field Linen is made of three plies that are themselves plied strands. When knit it creates a fine, durable, consistent fabric with a distinctive drape and the cool touch that comes from linen's ability to absorb moisture and dry quickly. And with almost 300 yards per skein, it is perfect for generous three-season wraps and pretty sweaters, as well as absorbent and timeless housewares. Knit it, weave it, crochet it, discover Field Linen's immense beauty!
TIP: As with all plant fibers, we recommend pulling Field Linen from the outside, rather than inside, of the ball.
NOTE: If using dark, saturated colors with lighter colors, we recommend taking the precaution of soaking the dark colors first in a vinegar and cold water bath to remove excess dye.
