Not able to get pattern after clicking on it in my library is their a way for you to forward it
Saying it’s free
Hi Darnise,
Thank you for writing in! It looks like the pattern was sent to the same email listed here. Could you please let me know if you are still having issues opening the pattern? We want to make sure you are able to access your free pattern!
All the best,
Gavriella
Is it possible to modify the pattern and make knee high socks?
Hi Deb,
Thanks for writing in! You certainly can modify these to be leg warmers! We recommend starting with a gauge swatch and measurements of the calf you are knitting for. You will multiply your stitches per inch by the calf measurements to get your cast on number. After that, you can add in decreases at the desired point on your leg warmer. I hope this helps!
Happy knitting,
Gavriella
Thank you for this sock pattern.

Can these be made in a cotton yarn?
Hi Inka,
Thanks for writing in! We wouldn’t recommend using a cotton yarn as it tends to grow over time and this could mean your socks will no longer fit after just a few wears. I’d recommend checking out our Wigeon yarn as a good replacement! Please let me know if you have any more questions or need additional recommendations on yarns!
Happy knitting,
Gavriella
Wow! Beautiful yarn- I hope I can finish 2 !
Hi Evy,
We are so happy you are enjoying this pattern! You’ve got this! If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and we will be here to help!

I love everything Purl Soho! My first ever yarn purchase was from Purl Soho and several completed projects later, I’m still a contented customer. Would these socks be good “first socks” to knit? Thank you in advance.
Hi Katie,
Thank you so much for your kind words! We think this pattern would be perfect as a first sock pattern as it is knit in thicker yarn and at a larger gauge! Let us know if you have any questions along the way and we would be happy to help!
Happy knitting,
Gavriella
I have a question about the heel flap part of the pattern. It says Row 1 (right side) * slip 1, k1, repeat from * to end of row. Then it says Row 2 (wrong side) Slip 1, purl to end of row.
Just to clarify, only the first stitch is slipped in Row 2?
Thank you!
Hi Kristen,
Yes! The only slipped stitch on Row 2 is the very first stitch.
All the best,
Lili
Thank you!
My first socks…
xo
The Pattern is not arrived after 2 days of waiting. Is there anything wrong with the link?
Thank you for your help!
Greetings,

Hi Marion,
Thank you for writing in! We are looking into this and you should receive an email from our customer service team shortly. Thank you so much for your patience while we have a look!

How durable are sock made of 100% cashmere? I have several years experience knitting socks and have had problems with holes developing with some kinds of wool. If I am making socks for a gift, I always use yarn with some nylon. Are these socks made with cashmere meant to be normal socks, worn in shoes or are they more bed socks?
Hi Melanie,
That’s a great question! These socks won’t be your rugged, all-terrain kind of socks, but they’re brilliant for lounging at home and cozying up with your stitches in the bed. Or wear the heck out of them, and do a little darning when necessary (our Mending Mushrooms are super handy for this). Beautifully darned socks maybe even more charming than perfectly preserved ones! I hope this helps but let me know if you have any other questions!
Happy knitting,
Gavriella

Thank you, Purl Soho, for offering this pattern. You have me enchanted now to try making my first-ever socks! And thanks for the alternate yarn suggestions to make these. Can’t wait to get started.
PS: I look forward to your interesting emails each time.

En francais S.V.P.
Hi Denyse,
I’m afraid we currently are unable to offer our patterns in French, but we would recommend using tools like Google Translate to translate this pattern! There’s an option to translate PDFs as well via Google Translate; if you’re interested in doing that, you can upload the full PDF to Google Translate to be translated.
All the best,
Lili
Thank you so much for this pattern. These socks are beautiful. Would say the Adult Large size would fit the average male?
Thank you.
Hi Jeanne,
You’re very welcome, and I’m glad you like the socks! The foot length is adjustable, and the pattern gives instructions on knitting it to fit men’s shoe sizes 9 through 13. To decide which size to begin with, I would recommend measuring the circumference of the recipient’s foot for the most accurate choice. Hope this helps!
All the best,
Lili
These are gorgeous and the yarn looks very cozy. I’m wondering if you have to hand wash them? Thank you!
Hi Leah,
Thank you for writing in! You are correct! We recommend hand washing these socks as the cashmere is more on the delicate side. We have a great hand-washing tutorial if you’d like a reference on how we recommend doing that! I hope this helps!
Happy making,
Gavriella
Can this pattern be made using the magic loop method or os it better to stick with DP needles?
Hi Kim,
These socks can be made on DPNs or magic loop!
All the best,
Lili
For this portion:Row 1 (right side): K12 (14, 16, 18), slip slip knit (ssk), k1, turn work. [21 (25, 27, 31) stitches remain for Heel Flap]
What do I do with the remaining stitches on the left needle? (First time sock knitter here)
Hi Hailey,
Thanks for writing in! You can just keep the unworked stitches on your needles at this point. You will eventually need to work them as you continue this section of the pattern!
All the best,
Lili
Can you recommend a machine washable Purl Soho yarn for these? I want to make gifts and I don’t see my friends hand washing every time. Thank you.
Hi Jessica,
I’m afraid that we don’t currently carry a machine washable yarn that would work for these socks. But the good news is that we will in the near future! We have plans to release a new super wash yarn in the fall that would be a great option for this pattern, so I’d recommend keeping an eye out for that on our website or in our newsletter.
All the best,
Lili
Love these, but already have some Season Alpaca. Do you think that would substitute well for this yarn? I’m newer to knitting and just want to be sure I’m not going to totally get it wrong when I’m trying to do a new pattern!
Hi Cait,
You can definitely use Season Alpaca for these cozy socks! We just recommend knitting a quick gauge swatch to make sure you can get the same tension as the pattern.
Happy knitting,
Gavriella
Do you have a pattern of toe up sock
Hi Farzana,
Thanks for writing in! Our Easy Heel Colorblock Socks include instructions for toe-up construction.
