A wearable work of handknitted art, our free Tapestry Wrap pattern celebrates Linen Quill’s rich and complex colors in a striking, woven-inspired design.
- Holding two strands of fingering-weight Linen Quill together and knitting with only one color per row, you knit this wrap with slip stitch colorwork. A much easier-than-it-looks technique, you only need a couple of basic projects under your belt before you cast on for a Tapestry Wrap!
- The openwork fringe edging is also surprisingly easy. Create using simple macrame knots, detailed photos in the pattern walk you through every step.
- Linen Quill’s hearty beauty makes it a perfect match for this rustic yet elegant wrap. A mix of springy and durable highland wool, soft long-fiber alpaca, and natural linen makes for a warm and gracious fabric that drapes beautifully when you pull it close around your body. The way the linen takes up dye differently than the animal fibers brings marvelous depth to Linen Quill’s vast palette!
