Hand sewn in soft wool felt and then decorated with embroidery stitches and sparkly sequins and beads, Heirloom Wool Ornaments add a playful, festive, and very special flair to the season. Each Heirloom Wool Ornament Kit includes everything you’ll need to make your own set of 24 Ornaments, including a full-color pattern and full-size templates. Choose from three palettes: Lusterware, inspired by the iridescent shades of its namesake; Milk Glass, a peaceful reflection of the season; and Wineberry, rich and decadent. Materials
Purl Soho's Heirloom Wool Ornament Kit includes...
- Eight pieces of 8 x 12–inch 100% Wool Felt, 1mm thick
- Lusterware: One piece each of Salmon, Coral, Brick, Baby Pink, Pink, Melon, Peach, and Apricot
- Milk Glass: 8 pieces of Ecru
- Wineberry: One piece each of Grape, Lilac, Carnation, Bubblegum, Baby Pink, Beige, Orange, and Rust
- Organic cotton sewing thread
- 1 skein of metallic embroidery floss
- Plenty of seed beads, bugle beads, and sequins
- An embroidery needle
- A beading needle + needle threader
- 6 ounces of stuffing
- A 6-inch ruler
- An air erasable marker (Lusterware and Milk Glass Kits) or a fabric pencil (Wineberry Kit)
- 7 yards of metallic ribbon for hanging
- A full-color instructional booklet and cutting templates
Please also note that, like yarn, sequins’ and beads' colors can vary slightly from dye lot to dye lot and may look different than what is pictured.
These are enough materials to make 24 Ornaments.
