Edge Of The Universe Scarf
Cosmically speaking, outer space has no limit, but our Edge Of The Universe Scarf takes you to the very brink of cozy!
Knit Collage has created four new wild and wonderful Comet colors for Purl Soho: the one shown here, Starship, plus Neptune, Pink Moon, and Super Pink Nebula. Each one is paired with a corresponding Gentle Giant color in our Edge Of The Universe Scarf Bundle… Pick up the one that sends you to the moon!

- Yarn A: 1 skein of Purl Soho + Knit Collage’s Comet. Each skein is approximately 34 yards/115 grams; approximately 34 yards required. We used the color Starship, which is 89% wool, 10% silk, and 1% angelina sparkle. (Other colors have slightly different fiber combos!)
- Yarn B: 3 skeins of Purl Soho’s Gentle Giant, 100% merino wool. Each skein is approximately 48 yards/125 grams; approximately 144 yards required. We used the color Elephant Gray.
You will also need…

6½ stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch
Finished Dimensions: 9 inches wide x 69 inches long
This pattern works over an odd number of stitches.
With Yarn A, cast on 15 stitches. We used a basic Long Tail Cast On.
Row 1: *K1, p1, repeat from * to last stitch, k1.
Repeat Row 1 until piece measures 7 inches from cast-on edge.
Cut Yarn A.
Join Yarn B and repeat Row 1 until you have used all 3 skeins of Yarn B or until piece measures approximately 62 inches from cast-on edge.
Cut Yarn B, if necessary.
Join Yarn A and repeat Row 1 for nearly 7 inches.
Bind off in stitch pattern.
Weave in all ends and lightly spray block, if desired. Do not steam block, as heat will singe the Angelina sparkle fibers.
