Habu's amazing Silk Stainless Steel is a core of stainless steel wrapped in silk. Because of the stainless steel, there is a memory in this yarn. Create something, twist it around, and it will stay in that shape (until you twist it into a new one!). Some people like to work two strands of Silk Stainless Steel (it is very fine), but a lace stitch in a single strand is also beautiful. If you have difficulty casting on, you may want to use a similar color/ weight cotton or silk thread to cast on first, then switch to a single strand on the third row or so. Silk Stainless Steel is also a fascinating yarn to weave, but it can be a bit tricky. Try it as the weft yarn first! Experiment, play, see what you discover!
