Happy New Year! While we welcome 2014, we can’t help but consider what a big year 2013 was for us! Let’s review… We were thrilled to launch three gorgeous new Purl Soho yarns: Alpaca Pure, Line Weight and Worsted Twist. We developed a collection of beautifully packaged, super inspiring Purl Soho Kits. We also began to assemble the materials for our Purl Bee projects into one-click-away, no-fuss kits. We welcomed the impeccable, inspiring and ultra-creative Corinne to the Purl Bee team, and we began building a library of clear and concise instructional knitting videos for you. Not to mention the dozens of free knitting, sewing, crocheting, weaving and embroidery patterns we shared right here on the Purl Bee!

As our team pow-wows on making this upcoming year as exciting as the last, we usher in the New Year with a new and improved Purl Bee favorite: the Easy Pullover to Babies Toddlers and Kids. How adorable! Looks like it wouldn't take too long to make up, either.
how about adults??? 🙂
Lord, it is so cute I just want to have a few of my own to make one of these for!
Thanks for the great pattern.
This is so adorable!! If I had a little one I'd make it up as soon as!

I love this little sweater! Is is possible to have it done up for adults? If you could do that, it would be really great! Thanks so much, Lorie
HI Lorene-
We don't have plans to size this up right now but we will keep it in mind for the future. Thank you!
Molly
Thank YOU for all of your patterns, instuctions and beautiful yarns. Even living in another state, I shop mostly at your store either on-line or with a couple of trips to NYC each year primarily to shop there in person. I've made several of your knitting patterns and have all of Joelle's books. In 2012, you also inspired me to take out my sewing machine and dust it off … I'm beginning to work my way through some of your sewing projects now. I've been knitting for 40 years, since my grandmother taught me at age 7, and I can honestly say that your staff, tutorials and patterns with such complete instruction cannot be compared to anywhere … and I've had the good fortune to travel the world and visit many, many yarn stores. You are the best. Thank you for making crafting the best it can possibly be and for having such a talented, creative staff who never dissapoint .
Dear Bonnie,
Thank you so very much for your amazingly kind and positive comment. It means the world to us!
Happy New Year from all of us at Purl Soho!
I love this peach colour! Can you please tell us what it is?
Hi Nadine.
Sorry for the delayed response.
The peach color is 1111.5 is and the original blue color is 1010.5.
Thanks so much for your interest.
Thanks,
Laura
I love this cute sweater….I'd ADORE making an adult version. Can you offer this as an adult pattern or guide me to a simple one?
thank you!
Hi Mary Beth-
We don't have plans to make this into an adult pattern at the moment. You might try looking on Ravelry for something similar by searching for a "tunic" style sweater.
Our Cap Sleeve Lattice Sweater is constructed in a similar way, although it ends up looking very different. You can check that out here: https://www.purlsoho.com/create/the-purl-bee/2012/5/3/lauras-loop-cap-sleeve-lattice-top.html
Thank you!
Molly
I have two questions. When you are knitting the seed stitch with an uneven # of stitches do you still start each row with a knit? Not sure what to do when I get to the sleeve.
Hi Sue!
If you have an odd number of stitches, you can start every row with a knit!
Happy Knitting!

This is exactly the pattern I have been trying to figure out for myself (adult size) to use with Rowan Denim yarn I have. It shrinks up 20% in length. I would LOVE to have this pattern in adult size!
Thank you so very much for these patterns. I have four grandchildren ages 6-10 and it is almost impossible to find cute things to knit for them. I hope in the future you send more in this age group. Thank you again.
It looks like you don’t have the suggested yarn for this sweater in stock. Would you recommend something else (that is machine washable)? How about the skinny cotton? Thank you.
Hello Kate,
Thank you for your question! I’m so sorry for the confusion. We still have the Koigu KPM yarn but the link was broken on the pattern page. That you so much for alerting us to this problem. You can find KPM on our website here. As for machine washable yarns you could use the Anzula Squishy, or Tosh Merino Light. The skinny cotton is a sport weight which is a little heavier that the pattern is written for. It is possible to do a gauge swatch and figure out how to adjust the pattern. Let us know if you have any questions about this.
All the best!
Allison
It appears that the link to this pattern is no longer working or available. I began knitting this sweater, and upon returning to the site to resume after a pause for a couple months, I can no longer access it.
Can the link be restored so I can continue working this pattern?
Dear Jacquie,
Thanks for writing in and letting us know! The pattern is, indeed, still available. It appears that the links on the page were broken. I have repaired all of the links and should be able to use them now. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and thank you again for letting us know!
Happy knitting!
Cassy
Thank you for fixing this so quickly!
Is there any way you could do a video on this I would really appreciate it
Hi Roxanne,
Thanks for writing in! Unfortunately we don’t have the resources to make a knit-along video for this pattern, but we will keep it in mind for the future.
Best,
Adam
I have just knitted this jumper (12 to 24 months), it has turned out really well for my first project. I have a full skein of wool left over and would like to knit some accessories, like a hat for example. can you suggest a pattern that is not too difficult to do that would go with this jumper.
many thanks Denise
Hi Denise,
Thanks for writing in, I’m glad your first project turned out to be a success! We have several hat patterns for fingering weight yarns that come in baby and toddler sizes, though since we have used several different yarns for our samples and I’m not sure which one you chose, I would recommend checking your yarn label to make sure you have enough yardage for the hat you select. Our Tiny Stripes Hat, done either with or without stripes, is easy peasy and comes in a wide range of sizes. For a bit more of a challenge, our Reversible Hat would be a very cozy option!
I hope that helps!
Julianna
I think I found an error in your pattern.
“Shape Front Right Neck”
Row 1 (right side) after kfb, should be “sm”
Row 2: Work in pattern to first marker, sm, kfb, should NOT be “sm”
Please let me know if this is correct. Thanks!
Hi Susan,
Thank you for pointing this out! I’ve made the adjustments to the pattern, which you can feel free to download in its correct form above.
Happy knitting!
Gaby
Hi there,
I was thinking of making this with Cotton Pure. Do you think it would work well? If so, what size needle would you suggest?
Thank you!
Michele
Hi Michele,
Thank you for reaching out! Cotton Pure is wonderful for tiny garments that require a lot of washing! However, this yarn is a bit heavier and produces about 5-6 stitches per inch as opposed to the 7 stitches per inch called for in this pattern, so it would mean adjusting your pattern according to your gauge. You might also like Posy as a machine-washable substitution that won’t affect your gauge terribly. I hope this helps!
Happy knitting!
Gaby
Okay thanks so much for the feedback!
