I was fortunate enough when I lived in NYC to have visited the lovely brick and mortar store in the Village. The first purchase I made was cashmere yarn to create a scarf for my daughter. I think it was my first experience of buying a high quality yarn, but as soon as I put it through my needles, I knew I got what I paid for. I began to realize that my time was worth the expense of good yarn. (And the time it took the buyers to search the world for exceptional yarn sourced in sustainable and fair trade enclaves, and the people who took the hours to create the fiber— and of course the animals who made their unique contribution!) And the well-thought out descriptions of each product, and the beautiful pictures and project suggestions add to the joy of buying from Purl Soho. Recently I purchased a yarn that, unfortunately, continued to break. Lili, in customer service took this problem soooo seriously, made my refund available, gave me the choice of of a replacement yarn, expedited it to me before an upcoming trip, and continued to promptly and kindly respond to my emails. I used to own my own business, and I am acutely aware of the expense required to provide quality products. When I buy from Purl Soho, the customer service is even better than the exquisite yarns. Thanks to ALL of you who work so hard to make this business so exceptional (especially those of you behind the scenes.) With immense gratitude and anticipation for my future purchases.

I stumbled on Purl Soho during the pandemic and I've never looked back. The yarn is unbelievable but the colors - incredible. I've honestly not found others that have the depth that this marvelous company does. But, yarn aside, it's the people that keep me coming back. They have answered every question, they scheduled Zoom calls to help, and when THEY couldn't figure out an obscure pattern I had, they researched and found the original creator so I could reach out to her. Unbelievable! Oh, and videos! Don't forget their video tutorials!! What I have discovered is that the knitting world is filled with generous, helpful, supportive, collaborative individuals that genuinely want to help you be successful and learn. I buy all of my yarn online...most of it from Purl Soho. They are so easy to deal with and are quick to respond to any questions or complaints. They are always willing to provide a prompt answer to a question. They will stick with you until the problem is resolved. I want my knitting to look perfect and so do they.
