Love the look of this bag. I might need to buy this bundle. $45 dollars for a nice bag is GREAT!

Thank you for all the interesting patterns. The knitting ones have give me some good ideas. I think Imay have a go at the bag.
Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for your kind words! Best of luck on the bag and let us know how it turns out!
Happy sewing!

Hi,
I’m working on this bag. I bought the physical pattern in the store, but I think there is a typo on page 1 where it says the lengths to cut the bias tape.
It says 92 inches for the Handle Piece and 64 in for the Strap, but the pattern calls for only 2 yards of bias tape. Also, there’s no bias tape on the handle or the strap. It would seem someone copied and pasted this from the section on cutting the webbing.
I am going to eyeball the bias tape, but would love to have this info for the future. I will definitely be making a few of these bags.
Thanks!
Hi Teresa,
Thank you so much for catching this! We are so sorry about the error. The cut for the bias tape should read “From the bias tape, cut…
• Two 33-inch lengths.”
Again thank you so much for alerting us to this and happy sewing!

Any suggestions for how to add an internal pocket in to this?
Hi Robyn,
Thanks for writing in! What a great idea! Given that the bag is round on the sides, this is a little more tricky than a bag with a squarer body. I would suggest mirroring the external pocket on the interior. It may be challenging to get your sewing needle through all of the layers of fabric but I think that it may be the most straight forward way to add a pocket.
I hope that this helps and happy sewing!

Hello !
I just bought this pattern and can’t wait to begin sewing this bag !
Just a quick question about the pattern size. What paper format should I use to match the other measurements ?
In France we usually use A4, but I don’t know for ths US !
My options are: 8 1/2 by 11.0 inches (US Letter) ; 8 1⁄2 by 14 (US Legal); A4.. and a few other !
What do you recommend ? What should be the diameter of the circle so I can check if the print went right ?
That’s sad there is no way to check it directly, it would be so useful 🙂 Some small 1×1 squares in inches (and maybe also cm) in a corner of the page would be great !
Thank you !
Hi Agathe,
Thanks for writing in and our apologies for the delay! I can help you with your questions! You should choose US letter which is 8 1/2 x 11″. The diameter of the side circle should be 9 1/2 inches before sewing. I will also pass on your suggestion of including a scaling square.
I hope that this helps!

It would be really helpful if you add the rectangles to your printable patterns (same with overnighter bag and city gym shorts), it was annoying to construct them by myself. they are part of the pattern and it would save some time. besides that, i really like the pattern. made it already 3 times.
Hi Mari,
Thanks for writing in! I’m so glad that you love the Weekender Duffle as much as we do! Although we try to minimize paper needed to print our patterns whenever possible to be a bit more environmentally friendly, we hear you that it would be easier especially when cutting out multiple bags. I will pass your feedback on to the design team, but in the mean time, you could always create your own templates by drawing the rectangles out on printer paper or poster board!
Happy sewing!

I recently made the overnighter bag with warsa linen. It worked out very well but it is a bit small… So I would like to try this bag and am wondering if the warsa linen would be a good substitute for the suggested jean? Thanks so much!
Hi Pastille,
Thanks for writing in! Yes, Warsa Linen is just about as heavy as the denim we used for these bags, although I’m sure you’re now aware that due to the nature of linen it is a bit drapier and floppier than denim. Otherwise, it is an excellent option for tote bags like the Weekender!
Best,
Julianna
