100% Andean highland wool, Good Wool sparks our imaginations with every stitch!

About This Yarn

  • Good Wool comes in five shades grown by the sheep themselves, plus a thrilling range of gorgeous colors dyed over these natural shades, creating beautiful heathers full of depth.
  • From highland sheep who have adapted to the cold conditions of the Peruvian Altiplano's high altitudes, this wool is particularly durable, sproingy, warm, and softer than you may expect... So good!
  • Technically a sport-weight yarn, Good Wool has so much loft and bloom that we often knit it up at a light worsted (or DK) weight, as well!
  • Buoyant and hardy, toasty and classic, Good Wool has 383 yards per skein at a reasonable price, and it’s on our needles for pretty much everything from sweaters to blankets. We have lots of amazing, mostly free knitting patterns in Good Wool... Explore and cast on!
  • Note: Because the undyed shades depend on natural fleeces, colors may vary from lot to lot.
