What's A Knit-Along?
A Knit-Along (or “KAL”) is when a group of knitters work on the same project at the same time, learning from and supporting each other along the way. For this KAL, we'll be casting on for our gorgeous Prism Blanket! A super engaging knit with tumbling rays of color and a very clever construction, it’s made with our wonderfully springy and naturally beautiful Good Wool. As you work, we'll send you occasional emails to keep you on track and will also invite you to meet-ups on Zoom for some real-time chats.
What To Expect
The official cast on day is January 20th, 2023, but knitters can join anytime between now and April 30th, 2023. Don’t worry if you join after the official cast-on day. The KAL lasts fourteen weeks, plenty of time to catch up and for everyone to create a beautiful blanket you’ll hold dear forever!
Throughout the Knit-Along, we'll be sending you emails full of useful info, including links to relevant tutorials and reminders about our giveaways. We’ll also be hosting Zoom meetings for KAL-ers to see each other’s smiling faces and gorgeous WIPs (that’s “works in progress”)! Click here to sign up for our next one, which is on Saturday, March 18th at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific.
We all want to see each other’s progress, so be sure to share on Instagram with the hashtags #PurlSohoKAL and #PurlSohoPrismBlanket, and you can upload your photos at the bottom of this page, too.
The Prism Blanket has enough color to tide you over until spring, and a clever no-sew construction means you don’t have to interrupt your knitting (or have a pile of squares to deal with at the end)! Our Good Wool is a wonderful 100% Andean highland wool that comes in a rainbow of beautifully heathered colors. It’s a lofty, bouncy yarn that’s one of our favorites to knit! Once you get your coupon code, pick a Prism Blanket Bundle or get extra creative and make your own… Either way, this is a wonderful project for whiling away the winter!
