Goode Pattern Download
With short sleeves and a breezy, flattering dolman shape, Goode is the perfect shirt-style pullover for all seasons. Its v-neckline has an incorporated I-cord edge, which wraps around the back of the neckline and is grafted for a seamless, tailored-looking collar. Worked in stockinette stitch, Goode was originally designed with Purl Soho’s down-to-earth Linen Quill, but we've also knit it up in our silken beauty, Cattail Silk. Each lends its own charm! Product Details
Materials
- Purl Soho's Linen Quill or Cattail Silk. (The original pattern uses Linen Quill, but we've also made Goode with Cattail Silk, using the same needles for the same gauge!)
- 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) (5, 5, 5, 6) skeins of Purl Soho's Linen Quill, 50% fine highland wool, 35% alpaca, 15% linen. The color shown here is Stonewall Gray.
OR
- 2 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4) (4, 4, 4, 4) skeins of Purl Soho’s Cattail Silk, 100% silk. We used the color Cinnamon Bark.
- US 3 (3.25 mm), 16-inch circular needles
- US 3 (3.25 mm), 24-inch circular needles
- Stitch marker
- Stitch holders or scrap yarn
- Blocking wires and T-Pins (optional, but recommended)
Gauge
25 stitches and 38 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

To fit actual chest circumference of 30–32 (34–36, 38–40, 42–44, 46–48) (50–52, 54–56, 58–60, 62–64) inches, with approximately 5–8 inches of ease.
- Finished Midriff Circumference: 38 (41½, 45½, 49½, 53) (57, 61, 64½, 68½) inches
- Finished Length from Shoulder to Bottom Edge: 24 (24½, 25½, 26¼, 27½) (28, 27¼, 27½, 28) inches
- Finished Length from Underarm to Bottom Edge: 12¾ (12¾, 13¼, 13¼, 14) (14, 13, 13, 13¼) inches
- Length from Center Neck to Cuff: 17¼ (18¼, 19, 20, 21¼) (22, 23, 24, 25) inches
- Length from Shoulder to Underarm: 11¼ (11¾, 12¼, 13, 13½) (14, 14¼, 14½, 14¾) inches
