An exquisite yarn in a mix of organic cotton and undyed superfine alpaca, Sweetgrass Fine is a very fine lace-weight version of our fingering-weight Sweetgrass yarn, which is still available. Both are made from 100% traceable alpaca, hypoallergenic with its near lack of lanolin, and the organic cotton is an undyed warm white. When mixed with the alpaca, it creates a beautiful, soft heather in a lovely range of colors that comes from the natural variety in the animals' fleeces. Although we no longer sell Sweetgrass Fine, we do have lots of great substitutes: For projects requiring a similar gauge, consider using Spindle or one of our other in-stock suggestions. For projects requiring a similar fiber blend, consider using our Sweetgrass yarn, which is still in production.
