About This Yarn

• Made in Japan, Sketchbook Cotton’s earthy elegance comes from 100% cotton, with a subtle thick-and-thin texture that adds rustic character to every stitch. Its lived-in softness is full of quiet comfort, making this yarn a joy to knit, to hold, and to wear!
• Sketchbook Cotton is made with two unmercerized cottons: Mexican-grown cotton plus Supima cotton, an American-grown variety known for its extra-long, silky fibers. Spun in two velvety, undulating plies, this structure allows the yarn to bloom when it's machine-washed and dried, filling in and softening even more.
• Every 50-gram ball has 150 yards of this light worsted/DK-weight yarn. Best knit on US 3-6 (3.25-4 mm) needles and bringing equal artistry to stockinette stitch, garter stitch, and seed stitch, our Sketchbook Cotton knitting patterns showcase its uniquely soft hand and fascinating surface detail... • Choose from a dozen beautiful colors, including tweed-like marls like whispery Moth Wing and stormy Thunder Gray, as well as captivating solids from delicate Lilac Bark to vibrant Deep Beet. An appealing matte finish gives every shade a grounded, natural beauty, like pastel on paper!
• TIP: As with all plant fibers, we recommend pulling Sketchbook Cotton from the outside of the ball.
• NOTE: Sketchbook Cotton tends to shrink and densify a little bit with machine washing and drying, so please be sure to launder your gauge swatch the same way you plan to care for your finished garment!
• ALSO NOTE: Some earlier lots of the solid colors were very slightly thinner than the current standard of this yarn. If you purchased yarn from one of those lots, you may notice a difference when using with the tweed colors or newer balls. The issue has been resolved, and all future lots will be consistent.
