Picnic Cotton

Gather under the shade of your favorite tree, it’s time for a picnic! Our soft and breezy Picnic Cotton captures the very spirit of summer. 100% Peruvian Pima cotton, this machine wash- and dry-able fingering-weight yarn is made from fibers with an extra-long staple length that make for a uniquely smooth and strong yarn. Spun in a two-color ingabbiato structure (“encaged” in Italian), Picnic Cotton starts with a soft, fluffy warm-white core, which then gets intermittently wrapped in delicate, colored threads. Knit up, it makes a beautifully marled fabric with a gentle, lovely drape. Although we no longer sell Picnic Cotton, we do have lots of great substitutes that are available and in stock.
