Designed by Julie Hoover especially for Purl Soho, the Gibson features refined details and flattering considerations that are all about being casual and feeling good! A modified drop shoulder construction, you knit this sweater flat from the bottom up, then sew the pieces together. You pick up stitches around the neckline and knit the collar in the round, incorporating a casing for the I-cord drawstring and tacking down the finished collar to the inside. And all these warm and natural tones? They come from our undyed Sweetgrass, a beautiful blend of organic cotton and superfine alpaca. Thinking you'd like some more color? Linen Quill makes a great Gibson, too (we knit up a Red Poppy version... cute!).
