Purl Soho teamed up with the legendary Manos Del Uruguay to create Lovebird, a yarn full of spunk and adventure, beauty and joy! Lovebird is a handspun 100% superwash merino dipped into kettles of inspiring color. This yarn is handspun from two soft plies that barber pole around each other, gently flowing between a bit thicker and slightly thinner. It knits up at a chunky or super bulky weight and is an exciting choice for wonderfully soft blankets, beautiful sweaters, and super cozy winter accessories! Our Lovebird partner, Manos Del Uruguay, is a non-profit member of the World Fair Trade Organization, which means they are committed to fair and safe working conditions, as well as a respect for the environment. They are dedicated to improving the lives of women in rural Uruguay and caring for the crafts and traditions of their land.
