Designed by Julie Hoover, Grove is a textured pullover with a comfy, oversized fit. Worked bottom up and flat in pieces, this pattern features cables and seed stitch in an interlocking design. Julie has re-imagined Grove in Purl Soho’s Season Alpaca, our 100% super baby alpaca fiber that creates a beautiful drape and a wonderfully soft and warm garment! Season Alpaca comes in gently heathered colors with lots of choices for knitters to create their own Grove. Note that this is an update to Julie's original Grove pattern, now in Season Alpaca and more sizes!

MATERIALS
- 8 (9, 11, 12, 14) skeins of Purl Soho’s Season Alpaca, 100% super baby alpaca. Each skein is approximately 218 yards/ 100 grams; approximately 1727 (1977, 2272, 2602, 2981) yards required. Julie used the color Meadow Mushroom, which we no longer carry.

- US 7 (4.5 mm), 24-inch circular needles
- US 5 (3.75mm), 16-inch circular needles
- US 4 (3.5 mm), 16-inch circular needles
- US 2.5 (3 mm), 16-inch circular needles
- Stitch markers
- Cable needle
- Locking markers or coilless safety pins
- Stitch holders or scrap yarn
- Blocking wires + T-pins (optional but recommended)
GAUGE
24 stitches and 33 rows = 4 inches in Grove pattern
21 stitches and 33 rows = 4 inches in seed stitch

45½ (53½, 61½, 69½, 77½)
To fit actual chest circumference of 28-35 (36-43, 44-51, 52-59, 60-67)", with approximately 10-18 inches of positive ease
