Designed by Elisabeth Parker, Tern features a cascading lace pattern against a backdrop of reverse stockinette stitch. Knit bottom-up and in the round, Tern features set-in sleeves and makes an excellent showcase for Highland’s expansive color palette. Materials
  • 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins of Harrisville Designs’ Highland, 100% virgin wool, shown in color Loden; or approximately 800 (900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300) yards of worsted weight yarn
  • US 9 (5.5mm), 32-inch circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • US 7 (4.5mm), 16-inch and 32-inch circular needles, or two sizes smaller than gauge needles for Ribbing
  • A set of US 9 double pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • A set of US 7 double pointed needles, or two sizes smaller than gauge needles for Ribbing

16 stitches and 24 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch with gauge needles, after blocking
