Designed by Julie Hoover for Brooklyn Tweed, Sommers offers a color shift reminiscent of the changing palette of autumn.   • 1 skein of each of five colors of Brooklyn Tweed’s Loft, shown here in colors Meteorite, Wool Socks, Embers, Barn Owl and Woodsmoke, and a second sample in Meteorite, Tent, Hayloft, Woodsmoke and Fossil; or 40 yards of Color One, 20 yards each of Colors Two, Three and Four, and 125 yards of Color Five of fingering weight yarn
  • US 4 (3½ mm), 16-inch circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge 
  • A set of US 4 (3½ mm) double pointed needles, or same size as gauge needles 
  • US 5 (3¾ mm), 16-inch circular needles, or one size larger than gauge needles
  • US 1 (2¼ mm), 16-inch circular needle, or three sizes smaller than gauge needles
  • US 0 (2 mm), 16-inch circular needles, or four sizes smaller than gauge needles (for optional Tubular Cast On only)

24 stitches and 36 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch with gauge needles, after blocking
