Named for the feathery soft leaves of the Santolina plant, our Santolina yarn is a wonderfully wild mix of 70% organically grown cotton, 20% rayon from bamboo, and 10% hemp, each fiber contributing something special!

About This Yarn

  • Select colors are 30% off right now... And be sure to also check out the entire Santolina collection for all the rest of the colors!
  • Cotton forms the strong heart of Santolina, durable but super soft, while the hemp lends a hearty character and a slightly rustic texture. As smooth and shiny as silk, the bamboo adds a lustrous finish.
  • Knit up, this hypoallergenic yarn has the lovely drape you would expect from plant fibers, but its relatively loose spin makes it surprisingly airy as well.
  • Each of the fibers in the mix takes the dye a bit differently, giving Santolina's palette a gently heathered appearance. Find your color and cast on!
  • Santolina is a machine wash- and dryable, two-ply fingering-weight yarn, with a velvety touch that makes it perfect for all things baby, as well as three-season accessories, beautiful sweaters, and heirloom blankets... Explore all our knitting patterns in Santolina to see this special yarn in action and to find your next project!
