  • US 9 (5 ½ mm), 32-inch circular needles and one set of double pointed needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • US 7 (4 ½ mm), 47-inch circular needles and one set of double pointed needles (or two sizes smaller than gauge needles)


  • 16½ stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch with gauge needles, after blocking


  • 40½ (42½, 44¼, 50¼, 54, 57) inch [103 (108, 112.5, 127.5, 137, 145) cm] circumference below armholes, with an intended ease of +6–8 inches[15–20.5cm]
