I wanted to share some feedback. I loved going to the store in SoHo. I remember my first visit - seeing the ombré cashmere shawl display instantly inspired me but the cost and my inability to wear cashmere put a stop to any thoughts of knitting it. I was heartbroken when the store closed but thrilled that you have the online shop. I love your yarns. I’ve bought and made so many pieces - for myself and as gifts. My favorite is the Nine Note scarf which was a lot more affordable than the cashmere one! I’ve made multiple cowls as gifts, a sweater for my granddaughter and one for myself and a few scarves as well are in the works for a couple of my friends. I keep saying I need to knit down my stash before I buy more and then I see what’s on your website and my commitment wavers and poof more yarn shows up and gets added to my stash. Your staff is so helpful as well. I ran into some issues knitting a cardigan and they were just so very helpful. Thank you again. I wish you continued success so I can keep coming to your store and adding to my projects (and my stash!)

Purl Soho is a great yarn shop (with some nice fabric too). I’ve been shopping with them for years - including in their flagship store in New York City in SoHo. The patterns and matching yarns are stunning. I’ve knit many shawls, blankets, hats etc. If you have a problem with a pattern etc - no worries. Just email them and you’ll get a prompt reply with helpful tips. If your yarn is different from the suggested yarn - no worries, Purl Soho will help you adjust the pattern. Some of the yarns are proprietary and stunning. In a local yarn shop someone saw my project and said “linen quill?” And it was. I’m now knitting socks. Of course it’s a Purl Soho pattern and yarn. Please try them for all your knitting and crocheting needs. I made a throw last spring from organic cotton for my son and daughter in law as a wedding gift. It was crocheted and it came out beautifully. I’d had my eye on that pattern for years. Enjoy Purl Soho!! The best!

I have been a customer of Purl Soho for many years beginning annually in December for family trips to NYC. I love everything I’ve ever gotten from Purl Soho and the customer service is above and beyond. Someone lovely always responds to my emails - I tend to have many questions when deciding to make a large purchase. Here’s the thing and I don’t know if you even want to include this, but Purl Soho can meet your every need if you don’t have an LYS and even though I have 3, I could think about doing that, but I need to shop local too! The website is incredible, so easy to see the beautiful things and find what you are looking for with a filtered search - I have just found the best solution to needing a very small quantity of yarn in the tapestry skeins - there are so many colors!! It’s all amazing! I miss you when I visit NYC, but I am so glad you are still here and making beautiful products as always.

I would like to help all knitters by letting them know about the super help I received from Purl Soho on a Pattern purchase! I bought the pattern, Crafted Cardigan, & it was a pdf download. I must have gotten interrupted while completing the task, as I didn’t realize I hadn’t printed the pattern! Next I bought the yarn my daughter choose, & thought I would get started. I found I had not printed the pattern. I couldn’t have had a nicer response or worked with more congenial people. Now I’m good to get started. Just a BIG THANK YOU for my package that arrived today 10 days after ordering. My major worry with this first order was the quality of the Linen Quill and the Cattail Silk as well as how close the actual colour way was compared to what was on your website. Gold stars on both accounts. Today I nervously put the skeins on back to back chairs and transferred them onto my ball winder to make pancakes. No problem at all! No knots, no tangles, and beautiful yarn. So a big sigh of relief. My next task is to learn how to make the beautiful Tiny Tucks pattern. I look forward to your utube instructions. I taught myself to knit forty years ago when living in England (wool knitting almost collapsed then due to acrylics) and Purl Soho encourages me to learn new things. Thank you again!
