Designed by Kirsten Johnstone for Brooklyn Tweed, Hirst features subtle stitch columns coupled with deep side vents and a high-low hemline. Playfully refined, Hirst is worked flat in pieces, sewn together and features two options for necklines. Worked in Arbor, Brooklyn Tweed considers Hirst a level 3 out of 5 in difficulty. MATERIALS
  • 11 (12, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed’s Arbor or 1520 (1635, 1740, 1865, 1975, 2090, 2315, 2520) total yards of DK weight wool yarn. Sample shown in color Heron.
  • US 7 (4½ mm) pair of straight needles or 16-inch and 24-inch circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge for Main Fabric and Ribbing
  • US 6 (4 mm) pair of straight needles or 24-inch circular needles, or one size smaller than gauge needles (for Ribbing and Tubular Cast On)
  • US 8 (5 mm) circular needle of any length, or two sizes smaller than gauge needles (for Double-Layered Crew Neck only)
