Best Spring Knits for 2017
How can we sit idle, when nature herself is so busy? Cherry trees are blossoming, songbirds are renovating their nests, and we’re casting on with spring’s best fibers. In Spun Silk, Linen Quill, Cotton Pure, and Mulberry Merino, check out some of our favorite knits for right now!
Top Row: Lightweight Raglan Pullover, Clean + Simple Baby Dress, and Open Air Wrap in Linen Quill
Middle Row: Shiny + Matte Wrap, Boot Socks, and Baby Bath Set
Bottom Row: Top-Down Turtleneck Cardigan, Knit Four Points Baby Blanket, and Two-Color Cotton Cowl
I am trying to find to purchase a pattern that is like a poncho:
this one is closed on one side and the other side is open. There is some openwork at the bottom. Please help.
Hi Kathryn,
Thanks for the question. Off the top of my head I can’t think of anything like you’ve described but I suggest you click here to see a display of all the patterns we sell. Thanks!

Greetings Purl Soho!
I love your knitting products, patterns, and website. And I love to knit, but perhaps I live in the wrong place for my hobby. It’s July in South Texas, and stinking hot! 90+ degrees every day until October 1; then it drops into the 80s. In future spring, summer issues/mailings, would you please feature hot-weather items we can knit? I like shells or lightweight tunic-y tops, also lacy scarves made from summery yarns. Just a note for your suggestion box. thanks, SKB
Hello Sandra,
Thank you for reaching out and your thoughtful suggestion! We do alway come out with projects using our Burnish yarn, Lantern yarn, Sweetgrass yarn, and our Cattail Silk.
Happy knitting!
