Heirloom Wool Ornaments in New Colors
Our Heirloom Wool Ornaments start with the iconic shapes of vintage glass ornaments, rendered in beautiful wool felt. Add hand embroidery, beads, and sequins, and the result is exquisite handmade little ornaments, true heirlooms.
Our original Heirloom Wool Ornaments Kits come in Lusterware, a collection of pale pinks and peaches, and Milk Glass, a pure ecru palette. This year we’re adding to the festivities with two new color stories: Wineberry and Mistletoe! Wineberry is rich and decadent, filled with deep warmth highlighted by lovely little high notes.
And if Wineberry is a holiday feast, Mistletoe is the moonlit walk you take afterwards. In natural shades of green with toadstool accents, it is a peaceful reflection of the season, resplendent in its cool elegance.
Whichever colors appeal to you, it is easy to imagine the special place these Heirloom Wool Ornaments will have in your holiday celebrations for many years to come!
Materials
Our Heirloom Wool Ornament Kits now come in four palettes: (clockwise from top left), Wineberry, Mistletoe, Milk Glass, and Lusterware. Each Kit includes all the supplies you’ll need to make twenty-four 3 x 5-inch Ornaments … (NOTE: the Heirloom Wool Ornament Kit is no longer available.)
- Eight pieces of 8 x 12–inch 100% Wool Felt, 1mm thick
- Wineberry: One piece each of Grape, Lilac, Carnation, Bubblegum, Baby Pink, Beige, Orange, and Rust
- Mistletoe: Two pieces each of Peppermint, Sage, Mouse, and Ecru
- Lusterware: One piece each of Salmon, Coral, Brick, Baby Pink, Pink, Melon, Peach, and Apricot
- Milk Glass: 8 pieces of Ecru
- Cotton sewing thread (3 small spools or 1 large)
- 1 skein of metallic embroidery floss
- Plenty of seed beads, bugle beads, and sequins
- An embroidery needle
- A beading needle + needle threader
- 6 ounces of stuffing
- A 6-inch ruler
- A fabric marker
- 7 yards of metallic ribbon for hanging
- A full-color instructional booklet and cutting templates

Wool Felt Bundles
Our Wool Felt Bundles include the eight pieces of 100% wool felt you’ll need to make your Heirloom Wool Ornaments. Choose from our four Ornament palettes, as well as from dozens of other beautiful color combinations!
Beads + Sequins
The same beads and sequins we used for our Kits are also available in separate bundles. Above we show the Beads + Sequins for the Wineberry Kit (left), the Mistletoe Kit (middle), and the Lusterware and Milk Glass Kits (right).

I just ordered two of these kits, then this morning when showing my sister the ornaments, I see a $15 pattern for the ornaments. Does this mean that I’m also supposed to purchase the $15 pattern, as well? If so, I will cancel my order.

Thanks for writing in! No worries! If you bought the kit, the pattern is included with the kit. There is no need to buy it additionally. We offer it separately so that crafters who may have some of the supplies or who would like to use their own colors, have the option of just buying the pattern!

Thank you for writing in! For a beginner, I recommend allowing for at least an hour to make one ornament. You may find that it takes you less or more time depending upon the detail of your design. Please let us know if you have further questions!

I love this kit! I’d like to buy the Mistletoe color way, but when I click on the link to buy, the only options are Wineberry, Lusterware and Milkglass. Is there a way to purchase the Mistletoe color?

Thanks for writing in! Sadly, the Mistletoe colorway of this kit is no longer available. We still do offer the felt bundle in this colorway and the other components of this kit can be purchased separately apart from the beads and sequins pack.

hi! I love this kit but am I nuts in thinking the thread is too thick for the beading needle? I broke my threader immediately and then another… any tips? thank you! ?
Hi Rachel, the cotton sewing thread should fit the needle, are you using a different thread?

These look beautiful! Two quick questions:
– do you deliver to the UK?
– the price is coming up as 112 USD. Is that correct…? Seems high for felt, beads and a pattern and I assumed it was a typo. Then again the quality is no doubt very high and the pattern is original etc so maybe it is right..?!

The kit also comes Cotton sewing thread (3 small spools or 1 large), 1 skein of metallic embroidery floss, an embroidery needle, a beading needle + needle threader, 6 ounces of stuffing, A 6-inch ruler, A fabric marker, 7 yards of metallic ribbon for hanging and our full-color instructional booklet and cutting templates! Also, if you were to buy all the pieces separately from us the price would come out to the same amount!

Hi! I bought this kit last Christmas and love it; it’s beautiful. But almost all of the beads have holes that are too small for the needle that came with the kit, to the point I’ve broken some beads trying to thread them. Can you recommend what needle size would work best? (I’m new at sewing.)
