Classic Mitered Corner Napkins in Early Spring Bundle
The winter holiday season may get all the attention, but to me, the arrival of spring is the biggest celebration of the year! Our new Early Spring Handkerchief Linen bundle is as perfect a vernal color palette as I can imagine. Just like the season itself, it is luminous, sweet, and full of potential!
We used the Early Spring bundle, along with a coordinating Cotton Thread Bundle, to sew up a batch of our Classic Mitered Corner Napkins. They are simple and fun to make, especially with the help of our easy-to-follow video tutorial, and in natural linen, they’ll last for many early springs to come! -Molly
Materials
To make 18 dinner napkins you’ll need…
- Six ½-yard pieces of Purl Soho’s Handkerchief Linen (from left to right, shown in colors Pale Pink, Desert, Aloe, Mint, Flax and Ecru.) (Please Note: Handkerchief Linen is no longer available. To view our full line of fabrics, click here!)
- Purl Soho’s Cotton Sewing Thread Bundle in Early Spring which includes six 110-yard spools of Gutermann’s Cotton Sewing Thread and color coordinates with the Linen bundle.
You will also need…
- An erasable fabric marker
- A pair of tweezers
- A rotary cutter
- A self-healing cutting mat
- A 6 1/2 x 24 1/2-inch non-slip straight ruler

These are beautiful. It has been ages since I have made my own.
Can you tell me what colors are included in the Linen Bundle and the Sewing thread bundle that matches it? I think I may have some of the thread colors already and need to get the rest without buying the entire bundle. I would like to also make a linen top and want to coordinate a color with a thread that I’ll be buying for the napkins. Thanks!

Great question! The colors of Handkerchief Linen included in the bundle are Pale Pink, Desert, Aloe, mint, Beach and Ecru. The colors of thread included are 5030, 1240, 8855, 7700, 3756 and 1006.

I don’t see option to order as a bundle as the title says and fabric can only be ordered in one yard length. Is there a way to order a bundle?

Thanks for reaching out! While we do not offer the bundle anymore, all of the fabrics that we used can be purchase in quarter yard increments! On the product page, you can change the 1 yard to 0 yards and then select 1/2 yard in the next field to get just the amount that we used in each color!
