    Saturday, April 27, 12-3PM
    Join pom pom expert, Marisa Morrison of The Neon Tea Party, for a super fun workshop creating Pom Pom Garlands using our Pom Pom Kit! Students will create a very satisfying and beautiful Garland using Pocket Posy and our Pom Pom Maker Set. You will learn how to create patterned pom poms and also how to string them all together. In the end, you'll have your very own Garland to take home, as well as the skills you'll need to make more...all while having a lot of fun!

    Renowned quilt designer and great friend of Purl Soho, Denyse Schmidt is especially loved for her colorful and improvisational approach. Based on traditional designs, her quilts always have a distinctly modern look and a spirit of creativity and fun. Learn how she does it at this special hands-on day of sewing and learning. Denyse will share her techniques and methods while you improvise your own version of her Free-Wheeling Single Girl Quilt, her take on the traditional double wedding ring pattern. Learn to trust your intuition, build your creative confidence, and streamline your patchwork process!

Immerse yourself in the rich history of this meditative art, learning the ins and outs of Sashiko with hands-on instruction from our honored guest, Atsushi. This workshop includes all the materials you'll need to complete an indigo printed pattern (which you can later turn into a tote bag, a pillow, a wall hanging, or whatever you like!). This full day of learning includes a break to explore our favorite lunch spots. Join us for a lovely day of stitching!
