Designed by Gudrun Johnston for Brooklyn Tweed, the aptly named Ribsy hat features classic fisherman’s rib and twisted rib. Knit in delicate Peerie, watch as Ribsy works itself into a textured hat in both beanie and slouchy versions.   • 1(2) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed’s Peerie, shown in colors Tincture, Patina, and Kettle; or 205 (290) total yards of fingering weight yarn

  • US 4 (3.5 mm), 16-inch circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

  • A set of US 4 double pointed needles, or same size as gauge needles

  • US 1 (2.25 mm), 16-inch circular needles, or 3 sizes smaller than gauge needle for Brim



31 stitches and 40 rounds = 4 inches in Twin Rib pattern with gauge needle(s), after blocking
