Alpaca
The long, soft hair of the gentle alpaca kept it warm in its' ancestral breeding grounds in the Andean Mountains of South America. Alpaca fiber is available in dozens of different natural colors, but also accepts pigment beautifully. The lightweight, luxurious yarn spun from alpaca fiber is comparable to cashmere in texture and loft.
