Fil Au Chinois was the thread used to make the legendary French Calais Lace. Each box contains 12 mini spools (110 meters each) of this beautiful 100% cotton thread. It can be used for all kinds of decorative needlework, including hand-sewing, cross-stitch, very fine embroidery or lace-making. Pull thread from the center of the spool and it won't tangle.
